A Summer of Circus at Haven

Events Inc has become widely recognised for its strong connections within the circus world—an industry we are deeply passionate about. Circus performers and crews are a truly special community, and supporting them while bringing unforgettable experiences to audiences is at the heart of what we do.

In 2025, Haven approached Events Inc with what can only be described as a “nice problem to have”: during peak periods, their existing entertainment venues were operating at full capacity. They needed additional event space that could deliver magical, family-friendly entertainment while also adding a true wow factor to their parks.

The solution?
A giant circus experience.

Events Inc was commissioned to deliver not one, but three full circus installations across separate Haven locations:

• Devon Cliffs, Exmouth
• Hafan Y Môr, Pwllheli, North Wales
• Marton Mere, Blackpool

Each site presented its own challenges:

• Hafan Y Môr offered excellent space, but ground conditions required detailed planning and engineering considerations.
• Marton Mere had suitable ground but limited space and challenging access logistics.

Every location required a bespoke approach.

Working directly under the leadership of Haven’s Head of Activities, Chief Finance Officer, and Health, Safety & Security Director, Events Inc provided six months of end-to-end project management, integrating closely with each park’s senior leadership team.

Our scope included:

• Land planning and multi-stakeholder sign-off
• Full health & safety oversight, including:
  • Fire evacuation procedures
  • Waste management
  • Crowd control
• Contracting two full-scale Big Top circuses
• Designing and delivering a bespoke baby Big Top circus
• Food & beverage pop-ups with tailored offerings
• A bespoke Circus Workshop experience for Marton Mere Owners
• Power and infrastructure management
• Capacity and audience flow management
• Full budget control and financial governance

The project was a resounding success. Haven enjoyed a vibrant summer season of circus entertainment that relieved pressure on existing venues, delighted guests, and added a standout attraction across all three parks.
